DisH Liv(ing) Walking Tours continues on Saturday in Downtown Danbury

DisH Liv(ing) Walking Tours will continue with new discoveries on Saturday June 24th, 11:00am to 1:00pm, throughout CityCenter's Main Street business district. Hosted by downtown Danbury resident, Ted Killmer, the Walk will include visual art exhibitions, yummy tastings, an 1852 architectural gem, a hidden wall mural, and plenty of friendly conversation.

DisH Liv(ing) Walking Tours are supported, in part, by the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut in partnership with the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, Office of the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Arts. In addition, the Walks also receive support by the Danbury Cultural Commission, CityCenter Danbury and the more-than-generous participation of eateries, shops, businesses, and individuals who line the day's Walk. Eight Walks, in all, are planned through October.

"It's the DisH," says Ted. "Everywhere one looks, Downtown is Happening, and on any given day, you see and experience new growth, new people, and positive new energy."  He suggests that you wear comfortable shoes, bring your camera, and a few friends. The Walk will be conducted rain or shine, so come dressed appropriately.

The Walk is FREE, though tips are welcomed. As much as possible, stops are wheelchair accessible, family friendly, and do not require difficult climbs. Reservations are encouraged. RSVP to dishliving@gmail.com with your name, the number in your party, and a phone contact. A confirmation will let you know where to meet and the itinerary. For future dates and detailed information, write to dishliving@gmail.com or call (475) 289 3113. (Walk programs are subject to change.)
