The Danbury Library, SCORE, Savings Bank of Danbury, Danbury Chamber of Commerce, and the Danbury Hackerspace have teamed up to offer a workshop for those interested in opening and operating a successful restaurant.

On Saturday, December 2 from 10:30am to noon, Mark Moeller, President of The Recipe of Success, will conduct a workshop at the Danbury Library to assist future restaurateurs to start off on the right foot.  Among the topics he will cover are: the two critical ingredients you'll need to be successful, the financials of starting a restaurant, permits, and licenses, and marketing.

Mr. Moeller is a 35-year veteran of the restaurant industry, specializing in restaurant operations.  He has been a partner in four restaurants, a French creperie in Manhattan, a bistro in NJ, a soup & sandwich concept and farm to family restaurants in CT.  His consulting firm, The Recipe for Success is a restaurant, bar, and hospitality consulting firm specializing in operations/training, operational & financial turnarounds and new restaurant openings.

The workshop is free.  Registration is required online at danburylibrary.org, click on "Visit” then “Events/Programs" or call 203.797.4505, ext. 7730.  The Danbury Library is located at 170 Main Street, Danbury, CT.
