AC Connecticut's 2016 Season Underway in Danbury

AC Connecticut, Connecticut’s only PDL franchise, is back in Danbury for the summer of 2016. The PDL, which is America’s highest level amateur soccer league, runs from May to July. AC Connecticut, which also has a junior program from U9-U18, is a Newtown based team and play their fixtures at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT. With the season mere weeks into starting, you still have the opportunity to catch a handful of matches at the Western Connecticut State University stadium on University Boulevard, off of Lake Avenue Ext. in Danbury, CT.

AC Connecticut has started off their season 1-1 having lost a nail biter to GPS Portland Phoenix (2-1) in their season opener and serving the Northeast Division’s number one seed, Seacoast United Phantoms, their first loss of the season in a dominating 2-1 performance. After AC Connecticut looks to steal an away game victory against the Westchester Flames this Saturday, they return home, Friday, June 3rd in a faceoff against the Western Mass Pioneers at 6 pm.
