Flag Day Salute: Bring your worn American Flag to Danbury City Hall or War Memorial June 1-13

State Reps. Giegler, Carter, Smith and Harding Announce Flag Collection

In honor of Flag Day, State Representatives Janice Giegler (R-138), Dan Carter (R-2), Richard A. Smith (R-108) and Stephen Harding (R-107), in cooperation with the Danbury Council of Veterans and Catholic War Veterans Post #1042, are hosting a flag collection for residents to retire their worn American flags at two locations in Danbury.

The U.S. Flag Code specifies that old or worn American flags no longer in service must be properly disposed of. The Representatives encourage constituents to drop worn flags in collection boxes at Danbury City Hall or the Danbury War Memorial so they can be honorably retired at a later date.
