Danbury Public School Snow Announcements: Nutcracker Canceled Tomorrow

Due to the forecast snow, the Danbury Public Schools Superintendent, Dr. Sal Pascarella, has made the decision to cancel all activities taking place in Danbury Public Schools for Saturday, December 9th. This, unfortunately, includes canceling both of our Nutcracker performances scheduled for Saturday afternoon and evening.

We have done all that we can to ask that this decision be postponed, but the Superintendent has determined that this call is in the best interest of everyone’s safety.

In order to alleviate the disappointment we know the performers and audience members will certainly feel about these cancellations, we are planning to add one more show on Sunday evening at 7 pm, and we do have some tickets available for tonight’s show (7:30 pm) and Sunday afternoon’s show (3 pm). Dancers and musicians, Arthur and Ari will be in touch with you with more information about this show.

If you have already purchased tickets for one of Saturday’s performances and you would like a refund for your purchases, please email:barbara@danburymusiccentre.org. Please request this refund by December 31, 2017, and we will issue the refund on or before January 3, 2018 (refund requests made this weekend will be issued early next week). Anyone who does NOT request such a refund for tickets already purchased will receive a thank you letter for your tax-deductible donation to Danbury Music Centre.

We encourage you to make a new ticket purchase online, or at the door where we will sell any remaining seats. We do have some tickets available for tonight’s show and Sunday afternoon’s show, in addition to the new show on Sunday, December 10 at 7 pm.

Thank you for your patience and flexibility, and thank you for being an important part of Danbury Music Centre’s 50thAnniversary production ofThe Nutcracker!!
