Cramer & Anderson Attorneys Appreciate 1st Annual Love Your Local Business Showcase

Attorneys Joshua Weinshank and Abigail Miranda, two of Cramer & Anderson’s young associates, participated in the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce’s 1st Annual Love Your Local Business Showcase, held Thursday, Feb. 11, at The Ridgefield Rec Center.

As Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jennifer Zinzi enthusiastically welcomed guests near the entrance of the rec center, she explained that the well-attended event, featuring approximately 30 vendors, was designed to provide a point of contact between residents and service-based businesses—such as plumbers, painters, interior designers and accountants—that might not have a prominent storefront.

Weinshank, who set up Cramer & Anderson’s participation in the event, said the goal was to “create awareness of our firm in the Ridgefield and northern Fairfield County areas,” introducing residents, families and business owners south of Cramer & Anderson’s Danbury office to the firm’s hallmarks, which include providing excellent, cost-effective legal services, along with aggressive advocacy, distinguished by the assurance that clients’ concerns will always be heard and their phone calls always returned.

With offices in Danbury, New Milford, Litchfield, Washington Depot and Kent, and 25 attorneys who specialize in varying areas of the law, Cramer & Anderson is able to couple its personal touch with the power of an interdisciplinary approach that gives clients the benefit of expertise from colleagues specializing in multiple disciplines. As the team approach assures successful outcomes, it also helps to keep costs down and avoid unnecessary billable hours.

The range of Cramer & Anderson’s areas of concentration—and its commitment to growing by hiring the best and brightest young attorneys—was on display in the Ridgefield event.

Weinshank, who is based in the Danbury office, focuses his practice on Trust and Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Trust and Probate administration, including matters such as business succession and the effective and efficient preservation of intergenerational wealth through addressing clients’ tax and personal concerns. He’s known for a holistic approach to estate planning, and he also is an expert in Title XIX (Medicaid) Planning.

Miranda, who is based in the New Milford office, has a background in family matters, including divorce, custody, prenuptial matters, and mediation and collaborative approaches to resolving family disputes. She is certified by the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch to act as a Guardian Ad Litem and Attorney for Minor Children, following State training in 2013. Miranda also handles civil litigation, municipal law, personal injury law, and other litigation practice areas within the firm.

“We talked to a lot of people,” said Weinshank, who called the visitors flowing through the event “a nice new set of people to meet.”

Miranda expressed an appreciation for the level of engagement displayed by the guests, small business owners among them, who stopped at the Cramer & Anderson table.

In addition to Cramer & Anderson, other exhibitors included Edward Jones Investments, the Ethan Allen Design Center, All Season Party & Tent Rentals, La Pietra Marble, Granite, & Tile, Ridgefield Theater Barn, The Prospector Theater, Union Savings Bank, and Westy Self Storage.

DJ Sean “Big Daddy” McKee spun the music, food was provided by Tigers’ Den Sports Bar & Grill, and Jersey Mike’s, and raffle prizes came from Addessi Jewelers, Union Savings Bank and Adam Broderick Salon and Spa.
