United Way of Western Connecticut Hires Longtime New Milford Resident and Community Volunteer

Katy Francis to become Community Impact Coordinator for New Milford

United Way of Western Connecticut (UWWC) is proud to announce that Katy Francis, a longtime New Milford resident and community volunteer, will join our team as the new Community Impact Coordinator for the Southern Litchfield region. In this capacity, Ms. Francis will be responsible for managing United Way’s New Milford office (24 Bank Street), overseeing the community grant review and fund distribution process, and coordinating the annual Back to School Drive and Stuff the Gazebo events (in partnership with the Woman’s Club).

“We are so pleased to welcome Katy to our team,” said Kim Morgan, CEO of United Way of Western Connecticut. “Katy brings a deep knowledge of the New Milford community as well as the skills necessary to successfully implement our funding processes and community events. We know how engaged Katy is in this community, and we felt this was a natural fit for us.”

Ms. Francis has managed her own consulting firm for the past 16 years, assisting clients in strategic planning and operational and organizational solutions. She is currently a member of the New Milford Town Council, New Milford Youth Agency Juvenile Review Panel, New Milford Chamber of Commerce and New Milford Rotary Club Member.
