“RVNA Holds Lecture on Benefits of Music Therapy on September 15

 

Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association (RVNA) is organizing an educational presentation on Thursday, September 15 titled “Music Therapy” at the RVNA Center for Exceptional Care. Did you know that Music Therapy could alleviate pain, enhance memory, manage stress and improve communication? Please join Rafel Sgammato, Board Certified Music Therapist and Certified Neurologic Music Therapist, for an experiential lecture to learn what music therapy is, how it works and how it can benefit you or your loved one. This presentation is offered Thursday, September 15 at 1:30pm and again at 7:00pm. This event is free and open to the public. Attendees should RSVP to RVNA at 203-438-5555. RVNA is located at 27 Governor Street, Ridgefield.

About the Speaker

Rafel Sgammato is a Board Certified Music Therapist and certified Neurologic Music Therapist with extensive experience in the healthcare industry in various settings including skilled nursing facilities, independent living as well as assisted living and private homes. She also maintains a credential as a Certified Dementia Practitioner with the NCCDP. She graduated from Marywood University with a Bachelors of Music in Music Therapy and an MBA with a minor in Healthcare from Keller Graduate School of Management.
