Carol Lorraine Parker, 71, of Danbury has died

Carol Lorraine Parker, 71, of Danbury died on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Danbury Hospital.

Carol was born in Santa Barbara, California, July 25, 1945, a daughter of Yvonne (Cochue) Andrews of Allentown, PA and the late Francis Burr Andrews.

Carol graduated from Briarcliff High School in Briarcliff Manor, NY. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, NJ, and then married and moved to Connecticut. 

Until she became disabled early in her adult life, Carol was a homemaker and an art instructor. She never lost her passion for her art.

Carol was a resident at Saint John Paul II Center for Health Care since 2009. Prior to that she lived at Danbury Commons at 51 Main Street in Danbury.

In addition to her mother, Carol is survived by a daughter Andrea Todd of Marlton, NJ; a son George Parker of Walnut Creek, CA; a brother Donald Andrews of Brookfield, CT; 2 sisters, Patricia Nizlek of Old Greenwich, CT and Lainie Davia of Summerland Key, FL and six grandchildren, Abigail, Lacey Belle and Gillian Todd, Greg Parker, Amber Vega and Alyson Parker.

Graveside funeral services and burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY at the direction of the family.

Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
