Alzira Baia Salgado
Alzira Baia Salgado, 89 of Danbury, wife of the late Cesar Salgado, died at her home on April 26, 2017 with her daughters by her side.
Mrs. Salgado was born is Arcosso, Portugal, a daughter of Francisco and Maria Baia. She attended schools in Portugal.
A resident of Danbury since 1971 coming from Portugal, Mrs. Salgado was a member of St. Peter Church. She enjoyed reading, gardening and traveling; especially spending summer vacations in Portugal. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Maria "Mimi" Salgado.
She is survived by her two daughters, Ligia Salgado and Paula Salgado, both of Danbury. Services and interment took place in Arcosso, Portugal. Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, Danbury was in charge of funeral arrangements.
