Maria A. Duarte
Maria A. Duarte, 86, of Danbury, wife of the late Jose Duarte, died on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Regional Hospice Center for Comfort Care and Healing, Danbury.
Mrs. Duarte was born in Portugal, September 12, 1930.
A resident of Danbury since coming from Portugal in 1961, she was a retiree of Davis-Geck Company and a devout member of St. Joseph Parish of Danbury.
Mrs. Duarte is survived by a son, Joseph Duarte and his wife Esperanca of Danbury; a daughter, Gina Owens and her husband Russell of Naugatuck; three grandchildren: Scott Owens, Sophia Duarte and Daniel Duarte, a great granddaughter, Olivia Owens as well as a brother and sister of Portugal.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, Danbury.
Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks donations to be made to Regional Hospice Center for Comfort Care and Healing, 30 Milestone Rd., Danbury 06810.
