MCCA Offers Free Lunch Time Support Group for Older Adults

MCCA  is now offering Senior Support, a free lunchtime group for older adults, at their Danbury location. The group is facilitated by a licensed counselor and focuses on providing support for older adults who are concerned about their use of alcohol or prescription medications, as well as support with issues associated with aging.

Older adults and their family members face a unique set of obstacles in dealing with the effects of increased alcohol and prescription drug use. For some, the aging process coupled with the loss of structure can intensify feelings of uncertainty.

Whether you are concerned about a friend, a loved one or yourself, we hope you will join us for this ongoing, informal lunchtime support group. Recovery for older adults is the highest of any group that we track at MCCA.

  • Group meets every Wednesday from 12 noon to 1pm at MCCA at 38 Old Ridgebury Road in Danbury
(located off Mill Plain Rd, and Exit 2A off 84)
  • A light complimentary lunch is provided
  • Older adults (age 55 and older) from the Greater Danbury area are welcome
