The Ashurst Academy of Irish Dance, recently voted Connecticut's Best Dance Studio for Kids, is proud to offer a free Irish dance class on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Danbury War Memorial.
The academy opened in 2016 under the direction of Craig and Christina Ashurst, who are former lead dancers of Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. The Ashursts both hold certification from Dublin, Ireland to teach Irish dancing and hold over 20 regional, national and international Irish dance titles.
The academy's students have already achieved success at the New England Regional Championships including numerous podium placements and have also performed with PBS stars The Celts and the Celtic Tenors. The school was recently featured on WTNH and voted "Best New Business" in Newtown, as well.
