David A. Abrantes Jr.. 42, of Derby, CT, formerly of Danbury, husband of Jamie (Born) Abrantes, died on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at his home.
Mr. Abrantes was born in Danbury, August 6, 1975, of Derby. He attended Danbury schools, was a self-employed carpenter and a resident of Derby for the past sixteen years.
He was a gym enthusiast.
In addition to his wife Jamie, Mr. Abrantes is survived by his father, David A. Abrantes, Sr. and his wife, Helena of Danbury; his mother, Jacqueline Lima of Derby; four children, Jacob Piazza, Brandon Mikowski, Gabriella Abrantes and David Abrantes, III; step-children, Kayla Schlemmer, Amber Schlemmer and Ashleigh Schlemmer and step brothers, Matthew and Daniel Abrantes.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 10:30 am in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury with Rev. Justin M. Smith of the Church of the Good Shepherd, New Fairfield officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 4pm to 7pm.
