It has been a very busy time in Hartford as we become aware of the ongoing problems many are experiencing at the DMV!
The state - you as a taxpayer - has invested more than $25 million into upgrading the Department of Motor Vehicles, yet people are not getting the quality of services they deserve. The press coverage below describes DMV excessive wait times and my reaction. Connecticut motorists deserve better. The system's bugs should have been worked out by now. We will be calling for legislative hearings to examine these ongoing problems. The administration should be leading the charge to get answers and make progress, but we will not hesitate to generate those answers through our own legislative efforts.
