Early College Program Available to Local Students

Early college programs provide high school juniors and seniors an opportunity to take college courses before they begin a degree program.

This summer Western Connecticut State University in Danbury launches the first Summer STEAM program to give area students an opportunity to take a college course and discover more about university life.  STEAM allows students to focus on elements of biology, history, social problems, and video production.  Students will also learn about the financial aid process, how to choose a major, the skills they will need for a successful college career and much more.

The program runs from August 1st through August 12th, and the tuition of $1,011 includes meals and all fees.  For further information or an application form, see www.wcsu.edu/steam.
