CityCenter Danbury Launches New Marketing Plan: We Are Downtown Danbury

CityCenter Danbury has announced a new strategic marketing plan, “We Are Downtown Danbury,” focusing on its people and Downtown as an attractive location to do business. On Thursday, July 7, at the new luxury apartments at Kennedy Flats, CityCenter's Executive Director PJ Prunty, joined by Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton, rolled out the initiatives of the campaign. “This campaign comes at a pivotal moment for Downtown Danbury as we have seen over $100 million worth of investment with projects ranging from the 374 luxury apartments at Kennedy Flats, Naugatuck Valley Community College’s significant expansion and the new 36,000-square-foot healthcare center run by Connecticut Institute for Communities.”

The campaign, with targeted outreach throughout lower Fairfield and Westchester Counties, will highlight Downtown Danbury's competitive advantages, such as lower rental rates, lower taxes, access to transportation, and an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of downtown’s next phase of growth. The comprehensive endeavor is expected to hit major media outlets over the next several months. A wide range of high-trafficked websites have been identified for digital, visual, and social media advertising, including YouTube, CNN Money, NBC Universal, Google, CBS Local, and Facebook.

Video spots were created for the campaign by the Danbury Main Street team of Renato and Alicia Ghio of RmediA. In addition, CityCenter has engaged Born TM, also located in Danbury, to assist with the branding and marketing of Downtown. Social media will continue to be served out of the CityCenter Danbury offices.

Mayor Mark Boughton notes, “There’s never been a better time to invest in Downtown Danbury. The City of Danbury is here to help you make the move to downtown seamless. Whether it be assisting with the permitting process, utilizing the Office of Business Advocate to navigate through city hall, or keeping the streets safe and clean, Downtown Danbury is open for business!”
