RVNA Named Top Workplace for Fifth Time

Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association (RVNA) has been named a 2016 Top Workplace by Hearst Media. This is the fifth time in recent years the home health care agency has won this award.

“We are honored and very proud to have earned this honor once again. Our employees make RVNA a special place to work, and I am sincerely grateful for the great work they do every day for our patients and the communities we serve,” said Theresa Santoro, president and CEO of RVNA. “This is a very well-deserved recognition for a hardworking, top notch staff.”

Founded in 1914, RVNA is a fully-accredited Medicare-certified home health care agency that also supports public health and safety, and promotes the highest quality of life. The agency, a non-profit, provides a wide range of services to people of all ages in 27 communities in western Connecticut. In-home services include nursing care, rehabilitation therapies, medical social work services, and live-in and hourly caregivers. Other services include flu and pneumonia shots, travel medicine consultations, immunizations, and community education events.

In early 2016, RVNA opened a new headquarters building in downtown Ridgefield, the RVNA Center for Exceptional Care, funded entirely through donations. The Center for Exceptional Care is accessible to all who seek RNVA services, with enough space for on-site physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy; modern medical clinic rooms and educational programs.
RVNA employees enjoy a full range of benefits, including medical insurance, a retirement plan with matching contributions, flexible work arrangements, training and agency laptops and cell phones.
