Famed Wood Saw Artist to Create one of a kind Sculptures at Litchfield Crossings Winter Wonderland Village on December 17th

Chainsaw wood sculptor Sergio Atanasoff will bring his sculpting magic to Litchfield Crossings Winter Wonderland Village from 12:00 to 4:00 on Saturday, December 17th. Atanasoff is the founder of In the Spirit of Wood, a custom chainsaw sculpting business in Ridgefield Connecticut in a space he shares with at the Board Silly Saw Mill. During the exhibition, Atanasoff will create a special sculpture to be raffled off with proceeds to benefit the New Milford Historical Society.

Atanasoff’s creations range from daring do dragons to fanciful sea creatures and, of course, bear. “I fell in love with wood sculpting bears eleven years ago and have been sculpting them ever since. I love bears and so do my collectors,” he said. At his studio on Danbury Road, he is usually surrounded by wood chips and a bevy of laughing bears. .

Art lovers and shoppers are encouraged to visit Santa’s Workshop situated in Litchfield Crossings Winter Wonderland to the right of the Petco building. The holiday celebration was kicked off on December 8th with a visit from Santa and there will continue to be gala events throughout the month including Litchfield Crossings’ Elf Workshop and Children’s Holiday Boutique where kids can shop for the whole family with the help of Litchfield Crossings Elves.
