Danbury Military Museum closes, military artifacts move to Long Island

Danbury Military Museum announced on their Facebook Page, "So it's official now, we are moving the collection to Long Island after 32 years in Danbury Connecticut, this really was the best case scenario for our collection which will now reside indoors instead of rusting out in the elements."

According to an article in Newsday, the Danbury-based U.S. Military Museum will donate about 10,000 military artifacts to the Museum of American Armor in Old Bethpage.

Located at 125 Park Ave in Danbury for more than three decades, once a month, May through October, the Military Museum, Inc. opened its doors so attendees could explore the tanks and amrored vehicles that were active in our nation's conflicts and experience what it's like to pilot history.
