Rep. Ferguson spends Small Business Saturday shopping local in Danbury

Rep. Ferguson: Shop Local Help the Community

DANBURY- State Rep. Michael Ferguson (R-138) spent Small Business Saturday visiting local shops in Danbury.

Ferguson’s aim was to promote the mom-and-pop shops that keep our state economy buzzing with activity.

“Our local businesses, right here in our Greater Danbury community, are the backbone of the Connecticut economy. Small businesses in Connecticut are 80% of all the businesses in the state. Many local businesses are also important partners in our community, whether they are sponsoring a little league team or local non-profits, their contributions have a tremendous impact.” said Rep. Ferguson.

Ferguson reminded residents that even though ‘Small Business Saturday’ has ended we should always keep these local businesses in mind as we are out.
