CT State Troopers Make Arrest in Litchfield High School Threat

Troopers from Troop L-Litchfield were notified by Litchfield High School faculty of the threat of a possible hostile event occurring at the Litchfield High School on November 2, 2015.  The information was passed on to faculty by people concerned about safety.

Through the course of their investigation, Troopers determined that two juveniles were responsible for the potential threat.  Troopers interviewed the two juveniles, as well as other witnesses.  As Troopers continued the investigation, they developed information that threats of bodily harm to other students at Litchfield High School had been made by the juveniles.

Troopers applied for, and were granted, two arrest warrants by the Juvenile Court.

On November 4, 2015 both juveniles were taken into custody, processed at Troop L, and transported to juvenile detention. Both juveniles were charged with Inciting Injury to Persons or Property and Breach of Peace.

Connecticut State Troopers take all threats to harm others, especially at schools, very seriously.  Troopers remind citizens to stay vigilante and report any suspicious activity to the police.
