Danbury Police aid in stolen vehicle & drug arrest

Connecticut State Police cruiser with a LPR* (License Plate Reader) received a hit on a passing motor vehicle on 1-84 eastbound at exit 5. The hit indicated that the vehicle was stolen. The vehicle was stopped with assistance from Danbury Police Department.

Two occupants, 26 year old Alexander Santopietro of Southbury and 31 Marissa Primiano of Katonah, were take into custody. 

A State Police K-9 utilized for a person search of the two occupants and identified two crack pipes that were seized. The vehicle was seized as evidence and impounded at Troop A. Both occupants were processed at Troop A in Southbury and held on bond. NYSP assisting in the investigation and the subjects are suspects in a burglary in New York. 

*LPR – License Plate Reader. Devices attached to the trunks of some state police cruisers that read plates and return info from DMV files.
