Rare Soul/Country Singer Robinson Treacher plays Danbury

COFFEEHOUSE: FREE MUSIC, FREE REFRESHMENTS

Tonight (Feb. 20), award-winning singer-songwriter Robinson Treacher appears live on stage at the Midtown Coffeehouse in Danbury.

The Coffeehouse is a weekly event at Western Connecticut State University (WestConn/WCSU) in Alumni Hall on the university's Midtown campus, 181 White St.

LIVE MUSIC TRADITION

The university has been hosting these Thursday night Coffeehouses since the Fall of 2005 with great success.  These days, their live music events are attended by students and also by the general public throughout the greater Danbury area.

TREACHER: NATIONAL AWARD

The recipient of a NACS/CMT "Listener's Choice Award" in 2012, Robinson Treacher sings at that rare intersection between soul music and country music, with a voice some say is reminiscent of 1960's Joe Cocker.  His latest album, "Porches" is set to be released this June.
