Ambassador Named for "Puttin' On The Dog" Festival

AMBASSADOR NAMED FOR “PUTTIN’ ON THE DOG” FESTIVAL

Loveable KARA to Welcome Guests with the Hope of Adoption

Armonk, NY  (September 15, 2014 ) -- Three-year-old Shepherd mix Kara has been selected as the ambassador for the 27th Puttin’ On The Dog Festival in Greenwich, CT on Sunday, September 21.  The annual event, which benefits the Adopt-A-Dog Shelter and Adoption Center in Armonk, NY, is one of the largest outdoor events in Greenwich and attracts some 7,000 attendees.

Many dogs will be putting their best paw forward as they seek a forever family to love them and one of those dogs will be Kara.  Kara, a longtime resident of Adopt-A-Dog has been living with a local foster family but is now in immediate need of a new situation in which to grow and thrive.  Kara is energetic, athletic, fun, silly and so ready to be part of a family.  Kara will do best in a home without other pets or young children.  A backyard, a ball, a family who will love her is all Kara really needs.

The Puttin’ On The Dog Festival held annually at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich offers a day of activities, contests, demonstrations, exhibits, food, music and family fun.  Gates open at 10:00 a.m. and the event closes at 4:30 p.m. after the traditional dog costume contest. Tickets are available at the gate or in advance online at www.adoptadog.org.
