Maria Tiscia and Rio Bound Brazilian Band, in concert to benefit KEYS

On Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 8 pm, the "Rio Bound" Brazilian Band will perform at Talmadge Hill Community Church in Darien.  The concert benefits KEYS (Kids Empowered by Your Support), a Bridgeport-based non-profit organization that brings free music instruction to kids in Bridgeport who would otherwise not have access to this life-changing experience.

“Rio Bound” features Maria Tiscia (vocals), David Oliver (piano), Geoff Morrow (bass), and Joey Bracchitta (drums).  Rio Band has opened for Diane Reeves in Stamford CT on the big stage at Alive at Five’s “Jazz up July”.  They will be performing selections from Sergio Mendes & Brazil ’66 (i.e. “The Look of Love”, “Mas Que Nada”, etc.) along with wonderful songs from such gifted Brazilian composers as: Antonio Carlos Jobim (The Girl from Ipanema), Ivan Lins, Dori Cayammi, and Marcos Valle.  This Brazilian band is delightfully joyful!
