Make-A-Wish Connecticut and the Wishes Ball Committee will host Rosé on the Rooftop, a magical evening of cocktails and Celebrating Wishes at the Samuel Owen Gallery rooftop deck, in Greenwich on Wednesday, June 8 at 6:30 p.m. The invitation is open to the public and will provide a unique opportunity to meet with several “Wish Kids,” as well as learn more about the annual Celebrating Wishes ball to be held at the Greenwich Country Club November 5.
The success of the annual Connecticut Celebrating Wishes Ball, raising over $500,000, grants over 50 wishes a year. Make-A-Wish Connecticut has granted over 2,600 wishes since it began in 1986, and will grant over 240 in its current Fiscal Year. The average cost of a wish in Connecticut is $10,000.
The Rose’ On The Rooftop Launch Party is hosted by the event committee, chaired by Gina Filippelli, Sharon Platter, Brooke Bohnsack and Julie Rivard.
Wish Kid Lauren Telesz, whose wish was to publish her own children’s book, will be present to share her ongoing wish journey with guests. Lauren was the honored Wish Kid at last year’s Ball, which raised over $525,000. She will be joined by Wish Kid Connor O’Neill whose wish to go on a Mediterranean Cruise was just recently granted in April, along with other local Wish Families.
Those interested in attending on June 8th should RSVP to rsvp@ct.wish.org or by calling 203.880.6967. For questions and more information, contact Tara Navara, Chief Development Officer at tara@ct.wish.org.
