JA of Western CT Receives $10,000 Grant from Near & Far Aid in Southport

Junior Achievement of Western CT has received a $10,000 grant from Near & Far Aid in Southport to support its programs that deliver financial literacy, career/work readiness and entrepreneurship programs to students in Fairfield County CT. The grant, in part, helps Junior Achievement provide economic empowerment programs and positive role models to over 5,000 Bridgeport students in grades K-12.

“This grant goes a long way in helping us expand our JA Economics for Success®, JA Global Marketplace® and JA It’s My Future® programs for middle school students, which is a time when the gap between highest and lowest performing students widens considerably," said Bernadine Venditto, President, Junior Achievement of Western CT.  “Access to our programs, made possible in part by Near & Far Aid is vital to helping students, most in need, build a foundation of college/career skills to be competitive in the classroom and connect their education to future success."
