4th Annual Carver Golf Classic at Shorehaven Golf Club Raises Nearly $120,000

“Presenting Sponsors 21st Century Fox, Richard Baudouin, Michael Gregorich, and Stone Point Capital, and many others contributed generously to create a great day of golf and fellowship,” said Novelette Peterkin, Carver’s Executive Director. Donations are still being made as a result of Carver’s 4th annual golf outing.

The event took place at Shorehaven Golf Club on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. The day began at 10:30 AM on the Putting & Driving Range. At 11:30 AM, golfers enjoyed a Grill Lunch. At 1:00 PM, the 25 foursomesbegan to play. By 5:30 PM, the 100 golfers and guests gathered at the clubhouse for a Cocktail Reception, Prizes, a Silent Auction, and finally a sumptuous Dinner.

Vineyard Vines New Canaan provided each player with a custom bag packed full of wonderful gifts, and Penske Automotive served as the day’s Hole-in-One Sponsor. Rick Erickson, and all the Shorehaven Golf Club staff, especially General Manager Brian Dwyer and Head Golf Professional, Mike Laganza, made priceless contributions to the experience throughout the day.

The event committee, Rich Baudouin, Allen Church, Bill Gallagher, Michael Gregorich, Carol Howe, Janine & Michael Smith, Oscar Villalonga, Jonathan Whitcomb & Richard Whitcomb, and the Carver Board of Directors were all deeply grateful for the outpouring of support for the Carver mission.

“Shorehaven Golf Club anticipated every need and produced a day of golf as perfect as the weather. The great generosity and good sportsmanship on display at throughout the day honored the hard work the Carver students invest in their academic careers each and every day,” said Peterkin. “Thank you, one and all!”
