Treetops Permaculture Garden Tour This Saturday

Slow Food Metro North is holding a very special summer event in Stamford on Saturday, July 26th from 10 AM - 1 PM. Board member Sam Billings will be giving a tour of the private gardens that he has developed over the past three years. Sam earned his bachelors degree in plant and soil science with a concentration in sustainable food and farming from UMass Amherst. While attending, he co-founded the Permaculture Initiative. Sam also has a Permaculture Design Certificate as well as a Permaculture Teaching Certificate. He has studied and worked on multiple farms, plant nurseries, and eco-villages and is currently working as the Resident Farmer at Treetops.

Sam will be giving an interactive tour of the land that he has cultivated, giving insight into his experience in the development of a living garden. There will be Q&A sessions during the tour with open discussion/meet and greet afterwards. Light refreshments will be served.

Tickets are first come, first serve and must be purchased via Brown Paper Tickets to secure a spot. There will be on-premises parking. Please wear proper no-slip footwear for walking on grass. This event is rain or shine. We will notify attendees of cancellation due to extreme weather conditions. This event is for guests 14 years of age and older.
