Canine capers when Johnny Peers & The Muttville Comix come to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, November 23

Ridgefield may be a “dog lover’s town”, but you’ve never seen dogs like the ones who will grace the stage of The Ridgefield Playhouse when Johnny Peers & the Muttville Comix demonstrate one of the most clever collaborations between canine and man in a delightful show the whole family will find totally entertaining. Featuring amazing canine feats and flawless comedic timing, Johnny Peers plays the straight man to the Muttville Comix who truly get the best of their master. They literally jump through hoops, walk a tightrope, climb ladders, ride a skateboard and knock Johnny down all the while leaving the audience wondering how he does it! This frenetically enjoyable show takes place on Sunday, November 23, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Kids can get their pictures taken in the lobby with Scooby Doo at this event! This show is a traditional sell-out and is partially underwritten by Animal Fair Pet Shop (90 Danbury Rd., Ridgefield), Ridgefield Academy and South Salem Animal Hospital/Noah's Ark Animal Hospital with support from Ridgefield Library, and is part of the Pepsi Children's Series with media sponsor 98Q. The Union Savings Bank Arts for Everyone recipient is Kids in Crisis.  Dimitri's Diner (16 Prospect St., Ridgefield) is offering 10% off the bill before or after the show when tickets are presented.

From Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey Circus and appearances on David Letterman, Johnny Peers & The Muttville Comix is a slapstick comedy act like no other. Johnny directs more than a dozen dogs through challenging and hilarious tricks as he plays the straight man role. It’s jam-packed with frivolity and antics for kids of all ages.

For tickets ($15), call the box office at 203-438-5795, or order at ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not-for-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT.
