Book Talk & Discussion with “Death Logs In” Author E.J. Simon Sunday at the Pequot Library

Local author E.J. Simon will visit the Pequot Library on Sunday, Jan. 25 from 4 – 6 p.m. for a book talk, Q&A, and signing. Books will be available for purchase at the event, and refreshments will be served.

Simon’s “Death Logs In,” released in Oct. 2014, is the second in his series of techno-crime thrillers featuring Alex, a Queens, NY-based underworld boss who was brutally murdered but prepared for such an eventuality: Alex invested in breakthrough artificial intelligence software so he could live forever, and it worked. In this second installment, Alex, now in his virtual form, uncovers a plot to murder his brother Michael, who has inherited Alex’s business and moonlights as the CEO of the world’s largest illegal gambling operation. Able to monitor information and people in ways the NSA would envy, Alex races to protect Michael as far-reaching forces around the globe close in on him.

"Kirkus Reviews" calls the novel "a fine technological thriller that only gets better as it goes along."

Pequot Library is located at 720 Pequot Ave. in Southport, Conn. For more information, phone (203) 259-0346, or visit pequotlibrary.org.
