Darien Library will present its 7th Annual Gala on Saturday, April 25th at 6:30 PM, sponsored by Darien Rowayton Bank. The theme of the 2015 Gala is “Good Friends, Good Food, Good Times,” where all funds raised from the event will be dedicated to expanding library resources, including technology, purchasing new books and supporting programs and guest speakers.
This year, Gala attendees will take advantage of the Library’s beautiful outdoor courtyard and enjoy cocktails, passed hors d'oeuvres and dinner featuring local food trucks: LobsterCraft, Bounty (gourmet sliders & fries), Wood Fired Pizza and The Buzz Truck for coffee & dessert.
Event co-chairs Melissa Baiera, Marisa DeVicaris, Kristin Nemec along with Fundraising Chair, Tara Ochman, are working to make this Gala the most successful to date, including some extraordinarily unique items for the silent and live auction. The customized Library Sleepover party is one of the most coveted items each year. In addition, a charming trip to Vermont for 8-10 people which includes spending 4 days/3 nights with retired Navy SEAL with the skills and knowledge to help create a one of a kind experience - hiking, compass course, archery, fishing, ATVs, camp fire and just hanging with friends.
