Awaken To Spring at the Body-Mind-Spirit Expo
The ever-popular Awaken Wellness Fair, the area’s oldest and best loved body-mind-spirit-green expo, returns to Stamford CT on Saturday, April 25, 2015 (this is a new date) at the Sheraton Stamford Hotel, 700 East Main Street, from 10 am to 5 pm.
For thirteen years this wellness focused, educational and experiential event has attracted well over 100 exhibitors to locations throughout the tri-state area. Growing from 42 people at the first event in 2002 to 1,000 people in recent years, the goal remains constant: educating the public about the variety of wellness services and products that are available today. Over the years, the Fair has expanded from one annual event to seven events this year, including New York City, Tarrytown NY, Fort Lee NJ and Brooklyn NY.
Men and women who are curious about holistic practices are attracted to the Awaken Fairs. They find abundant information encompassing the world of ancient, as well as new cutting-edge, healing/wellness methods. Often guests have come expecting to spend a couple of hours and find themselves spending the entire day, because there is so much exciting knowledge to gather.
This fun and educational day includes speakers with a continuous program of compelling talks all day lasting 45 minutes each. There is no additional charge for these talks. Topics cover a wide range of current wellness subjects intended to help people live a healthier and happier life, including “Music for Healing” with Dr. Peter Muir and "Sharp Again Naturally: Preventing and Reversing Alzheimer’s & Dementia" with Jacqui Bishop.
An assortment of amazing vendors fills the Main Ballroom offering the best products and services to support a healthy lifestyle. They present huge variety ranging from essential oils, to Ayurvedic doctors, to nutritional supplements and organic cleaning products. Of course, the best vendors of healing crystals and jewelry are at the fair too, offering love focused rose quartz, healing turquoise, serenity inducing amethyst and all the others.
Intuitive readers fill yet another area. This group offers insight through tarot reading, mediumship, angel reading, numerology, pet readings and many more (for entertainment purposes only). Then there are gifted healers, practicing Reiki, reflexology and energy healing. Healing practices have become more and more mainstream recently, and many people “sample” a healing practice for the first time at the Awaken Fair.
