The Darien Library’s children’s department will host award-winning children’s book author/illustrator Mike Curato on Saturday, May 9 at 11 a.m.
Curato’s visit will be the library’s finale celebration of Children’s Book Week, which runs from Monday, May 4 through Sunday, May 10. Curato, the winner of the 2014 Founder’s Award from the Society of Illustrators, will read and draw from his book “Little Elliot, Big City.”
Children in grades Kindergarten and up are invited to join Curato as he shares his talents with us. This drop-in program does not require registration, though space is limited. The first 30 attendees will receive complimentary posters and tote bags in celebration of Children’s Book Week.
