Darien SideWalk Sales and Family Fun Days 2015

July 9, 10 and 11 are the dates for the 2015 Darien Side Walk Sales and Family Fun Days. Great bargains, fun finds, amusements for children, and delicious food--- fun for the whole family!

The Darien Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Sidewalk Sales & Family Fun Days on Thursday, Friday & Saturday, July 9th & 10th & 11th, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  The First County Bank is continuing as the Title Sponsor of this fun family outing.

This popular sales event features Darien merchants exhibiting along the Post Road and at the Goodwives and Noroton Heights Shopping Centers.  Many bargains, with discounts of  up to 70 percent, are expected to be offered.  On Saturday, July 11th, Day Street will be closed to vehicular traffic to permit more people to stroll, enjoy the shade and hanging flower baskets and the inflatable children’s entertainment. 

Friday:  Face Painters from the DEPOT at First County Bank (10am-2pm) and Face Painter –Ela at the Darien Toy Box (11-1). Also-- free cup of Deadly Grounds Coffee at The Dock Shop. Plus, The Bluefish Mascot-B.B. and the Sound Tigers Mascot-Storm and an inflatable Bouncy House will be in the Downtown Area. Other attractions include Amazing Andy on stilts with his juggling act in different locations throughout town and live music at Gopher Park!

Saturday:  Inflatable Toys on Day Street and then behind First County Bank & 1020 Post Road, Free Face Painter by DEPOT teens at First County Bank,  free cup of Deadly Grounds Coffee at The Dock Shop, Face Painter -Ela inside of  the Darien Toy Box from 11am -1pm, Darien Fire House will have a Fire Truck, The  Darien Station Firefighters will be roasting hot dogs at the Darien Fire Station from 10-3. You and your family can explore a Post 53 ambulance, have your blood pressure taken and learn Hands Free CPR with the Post 53 EMS team on Tokeneke Road. There will also be live music at Grove Street Plaza Saturday afternoon.
