REGISTRATION FOR THE 2015 DARIEN ROAD RACE IS NOW OPEN
The 36th Annual Darien Road Race will be Sunday, September 13th at 1:00pm at Pear Tree Beach.
The race will feature a timed 10K road race and 1.5 mile fun loop.
New this year, the 1.5 mile fun loop will start at 1:00, the 10K road race will start at 1:30.
The first 400 registered runners will receive an official 2015 Darien Road Race t-shirt on race day.
About Us
The Darien Road Race is a beloved Darien community event celebrating its 36th year. The race includes a scenic 10k and a 1.5 mile “loop” around the picturesque Pear Tree Point Beach golden coastline, and attracts over 500 runners, family and friends for a day of fun, music, food and a celebration of community.
Now in its 36th year, the race has raised more than $950,000 to benefit our neighbors in critical need in Stamford, Norwalk and Darien. The Darien Road Race is a fundraising for a beloved local charity, The Community Fund of Darien. We depend on individual donations and business sponsorships for support. All money raised in the race will benefit local non-profits in Stamford, Norwalk and Darien working to improve the lives of at-risk youth, families in need and those suffering from the effects of poverty, homelessness, hunger, mental illness, substance abuse, domestic violence, and more.
