Indeed, that would be John Hiatt & The Combo And The Taj Mahal Trio, this Saturday night brought to the Klein Memorial Auditorium in Bridgeport by The Fairfield Theatre Company.
This is the kind of show that you’ve just got to see. A music veteran who’s played with everyone from Bob Dylan to Iggy Pop, Hiatt’s gruff, down-home take on roots is well worth seeing. Mahal, of course, is one of the key figures in American music whose melding of blues with music from around the world is nothing short of revolutionary.
