Dynamic Athletics, a strength and conditioning facility in Darien, is hosting a charity workout benefitting the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program on Saturday, December 5th.
The event, known as Christmas Throwdown, is a national event where several CrossFit gyms around the country participate together to kick-off the holiday season and to give back to those less fortunate.
In addition to the support from event sign-ups, Dynamic Athletics will be hosting a toy drive on the day of the workout, which will then be donated to a local Toys for Tots location. All are welcome to drop off new, unwrapped toys to Dynamic Athletics on December 5th.
“The workout is designed to be fun, challenging, and accessible to all skill levels,” says Lexi Forrest, coach at Dynamic Athletics and event coordinator. “Even if you haven’t worked out in a while, or tried CrossFit, you’ll still be able come in and get a great workout!”
15 minute AMRAP (As Many Rounds/Reps As Possible)
12 Deadlifts
10 Bar Facing Burpees
10 Power Cleans
12 Kettlebell Swings
Weights and movements will be scaled as needed. Check-in will begin at 8am, with the first heat starting promptly at 8:30am.
Registration is $35 per person. All participants must register before the event at www.christmasthrowdown.com. For questions or more information, please contact Lexi Forrest at info@dynathletics.com
We look forward to seeing you, your friends and family for a great workout that will benefit an even greater cause!
