Daphne Oz in Conversation with OmNomCT at Darien Library on September 29

On Thursday, September 29 at 7 p.m. the Darien Library will welcome Daphne Oz, New York Times best-selling author and Emmy Award-winning co-host of ABC’s The Chew. Daphne will be interviewed by Dan and Kristien Del Ferraro of OmNomCT.

Like cooking with a good friend and a glass of wine, The Happy Cook: 125 Recipes for Eating Every Day Like It’s the Weekend provides the confidence to prepare easy, quick, healthy, and most importantly delicious meals for the whole family. With Daphne’s friendly advice, expert tips, and inspiring ideas, even the most nervous or reluctant novice will transform into a happy, confident cook.

In The Happy Cook, Daphne shares her favorite recipes for the whole day and the whole week, from Saturday dinner parties to quick-and-easy weeknight leftovers. She takes healthy essentials and creates crave-worthy meals without outlawing every last drizzle of oil, pat of butter, sprinkle of salt, or spoon of sugar.

About the Presenters

Daphne Oz is the New York Times bestselling author of Relish: An Adventure in Food, Style, and Everyday Fun and the national bestseller The Dorm Room Diet. A graduate of Princeton University, she is the Emmy Award-winning cohost of ABC’s hit show The Chew and coauthor of the New York Times bestseller The Chew: Food. Life. Fun. She has been featured throughout the media, including the New York Times, Teen Vogue, Cosmopolitan, People, Good Morning America, and NPR’s Weekend Edition. She received her chef’s degree from the Natural Gourmet Institute and is a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She lives in New York City with her husband John and their two children, Philomena and John Jr.

Dan and Kristien Del Ferraro are a husband and wife team who are, above all else, lovers of good food, good drink, and all the good times and people that center around it--so much so that in 2010 they made it their mission to grow and share that love with their community by launching their blog, OmNomCT.
