Norwalk’s A Yankee Peddler & Loan hosts one-time autograph authentication by world renowned Authentication

Ever wonder if those family heirlooms you inherited, or that signed sports memorabilia you collected, possess viable, authentic signatures?   Want to verify them and possibly maximize the value and interest of your signed collectible?   That opportunity is here thanks to A Yankee Peddler & Loan, Norwalk, CT’s well-known, family owned pawnshop. The business will host a day of onsite autograph authentication by JSA James Spence Authentication, arguably the foremost authority in autograph authentication, at their 212 Main Street, Norwalk, CT location on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 10 am - 4 pm.

“Often people have been given or inherited an item with a legacy,” says Alexander DeLucia, owner of A Yankee Peddler & Loan. "Perhaps the story associated with the item is that a family member had gotten it signed by a celebrity.  While that may be true, it could be a “fish tale”.   DeLucia routinely has people offer his business signed items, but since Yankee Peddler is not a verification expert, he generally declines the acquisition.

“JSA is the foremost authority in autograph authentication with the most extensive database in the industry,” he says. “I met owner, James Spence, at the National Association of Pawnbrokers convention in July.”   James Spence not only has experience with sports autographs but in his own personal collection has political leaders like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. JSA’s Letter of Authenticity (LOA) is highly sought after and is guaranteed to be accepted by collectors, dealers and auction houses worldwide.  “Given the large number of people that contact us with uncertified items, we thought this would be a great service to our local market.“

JSA regularly attends major collectible venues across the country and people routinely pay to gain admission and access to their services. Those interested in taking advantage of JSA’s stringent authentication process at the September 30 event will pay for the authentication service up front.   At the end of the day, authentic items will be issued the highly sought after LOA and items of sufficient value will be issued a replacement value appraisal.

“Receive your items back the same day and increase the value of your memorabilia by assuring its authenticity! “ says DeLucia.
