Drink Pink and Raise Funds for Breast Cancer

New Canaan resident, breast cancer survivor and ball of energy Beth Allen Reilly, will be hosting a 2nd Annual 'Pink' themed cocktail party for friends and the community at Chef Luis on Thursday, March 26th at 6 - 8pm.

Beth manages three children, the home, her career and training for competitive cycling events. She refers to her diagnosis, double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery as: “Not terribly dramatic." And hails the radiologist at Stamford Hospital as a lifesaver saying: “He quite literally saved my life with his approach."

The pink party is open to anyone affected by breast cancer and for those who want to help. The event is huge fun, with Beth hosting, Chef Louis serving sublime cocktails and Suburban Couture donating items for the raffle. Monies raised from the specialty cocktails and raffle are all donated to benefit the Women’s Breast Center at Stamford Hospital and Connecticut Challenge Center for Survivorship.

According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths among women. This year in the US, breast cancer is expected to be diagnosed in more than 232,000 women, including 3,160 new cases in Connecticut. Patrice Lestrange of the American Cancer Society says: “Today 2 out of 3 people diagnosed with cancer survive. Our goal is to make that 3 out of 3.”

Rally your friends and family and show your support for such a worthy cause. At the very least pop your head in and say a 'Cheers' to Beth for reaching her 2-year anniversary of being cancer free.
