Local Nonprofit COO Presents at The Economist’s Annual Health Care Forum in Boston

The Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut’s (CGC) COO and Director of Quality and Operations has been selected as a panelist for The Economist’s second annual Health Care Forum in Boston. Kimberly DiBella-Farber, MSW will be tackling the issue of future developments in health care alongside executives from CVS Pharmacy, Boston Children’s Hospital and Beacon Health Strategies.

“Mental health is often sidelined in these large-scale conversations,” DiBella-Farber said. “I’m glad that The Economist is thinking broadly about health care in all of its elements and acknowledging the link between physical and mental health.” She was chosen for the panel “Hospitals and health care for the future” for her expertise in integrating technology and health care to seamlessly maximize service delivery at CGC.

DiBella-Farber will speak from experience about implementing new technology systems in small and mid-size health care agencies. While these enhancements are costly, they identify inefficiencies and opportunities for growth. DiBella-Farber believes that such improvements pay for themselves down the line, citing an increase in service delivery at CGC since their implementation of the CareLogic system.

The full day conference for health care leaders explores industry innovations, strategies for growth and preparing for the future. “I’m very pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to this discussion,” DiBella-Farber said. “It highlights how important it is for agencies to invest in technology to better serve their clients.”

The Economist’s Health Care Forum will be held September 17, 2014 at the Seaport Boston Hotel and is open to the public. Those interested in attending can learn more and register online at www.economist.com.
