Darien Winter Club Continues Annual Support of Person-to-Person

11-Year Fundraising Total of “Charity Skate” Tops $68,000!

Over one hour and twenty minutes of play, in a friendly competition that not only provided a chance to play hockey in the off season but also benefited Person-to-Person, the Darien Winter Club raised more than $6,500 in the 11th Annual ‘Darien Winter Club Charity Skate’ at the Terry Conners Ice Rink in Stamford.

P2P has been the designated charity for this fundraising event since 2006. With this year’s event, the 11-year fundraising total is more than $68,000.

This event is organized annually by John Shaker, a former P2P board member and a long-time donor and supporter of the agency. The Terry Connors Ice Rink generously donated the ice time, so that 100% of the donations from the players – and others – will benefit Person-to-Person.
