Art Opening at Rowayton Art Center

Beyond Brushwork” opens at the Rowayton Arts Center on Sunday, January 29. This is the one exhibit where brushes get the brush off. It is an exhibit of everything but traditional paintings: it is digital art, drawings, mixed media, paper cuts, pastels and prints. Exhibiting members think way out of the box – the paint box, that is.

The exhibit chair is Kathleen Weinstock and co-chair is Pat Atkin.  Josephine Robinson, an instructor at the Silvermine Guild Arts Center in New Canaan, is the exhibition judge. Robinson's work has been exhibited in London and the U.S.  The Gale Parsons Memorial Award will be awarded to the winner in Mixed Media.

Also on Sunday, join us for an art demonstration by instructor Sam Morrow. Sam offers his tips on painting with oils.
