Meet caricature artist Tom Glover, whose whimisical works are featured in a special Portside Gallery show through September 28.
From Monte Carlo to Hong Kong to Argentina to Montreal, Glover has traveled around the world doing what he loves best: drawing caricatures. After college, his career included a stint as an Army cameraman, a television producer with Batten, Barton, Durstine & Osborne advertising agency in New York City and a designer of point-of-sale materials for a manufacturer.
Then, at the age of 50, Tom was hired by Sports Illustrated to draw likenesses of the magazine's guests at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, NY. And, a new career was born.
