Harvey Boys Lose to King on Friday

Harvey Boys Lose at Home

Harvey’s boys varsity basketball team suffered a 68-53 home court loss Friday to King who avenged an earlier season loss when the Cavaliers scored their highest total of the season in beating the Vikings on their home court.

Harvey brought the energy early and took a five-point lead into halftime, but it was King who controlled the second half. The Vikings out-rebounded Harvey and were able to get their big man Chris Massucco the ball down low for some easy layups. King took a 10-point lead halfway through the second half, and Harvey just couldn’t seem to put together a run to get back into it.

The Vikings had four players score in double figures. Trey Canaveri led all players with 18 points. Massucco finished with 16. Ricky Hicks led Harvey with 12 points and four assists. Austin Forman had 11.

The Cavaliers, now 10-6 overall, have a busy schedule next week, starting Monday when they play host to Tappan Zee and then face Forman Wednesday and Watkinson Friday.
