New Canaan HamletHub editor discovers Invisibobble

When I visited Studio Elan, New Canaan today, I noticed new hair products sitting in her cabinet. Have you heard of the invisibobble - a traceless hair ring? Within a flash I ditched my hair tie, which has previously ripped out more hair than I care to remember. The radical design of invisibobble is composed of polyurethane, better known as artificial resin. Polyurethane is particularly hygienic, since it neither absorbs dirt nor bacteria, and has a very easily cleaned surface.

The magic trick lies in its peculiar telephone cord shape, allowing the hair to be held strongly without being pulled too tight. It has a strong grip and on the website boasts:

  •  leave a kink in your hair
  • Revolutionary styling tool
  • Non-soaking
  • Avoids split ends and hair breakage
  • Avoids headaches
  • No tugging or pulled hairs
  • Strong hold
  • Antiallergic
  • Compatible with all hair types

And with that I picked up an eco-friendly box of 3 brown hair rings for $12. Call into Studio Elan, 25 Burtis Avenue and see for yourself.
