Darien SideWalk Sales and Family Fun Days 2016 Events Announced

The Darien Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Sidewalk Sales & Family Fun Days on Thursday, Friday & Saturday, July 14th & 15th & 16th, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  The First County Bank  is continuing as the Title Sponsor of this fun family outing.

This popular sales event features Darien merchants exhibiting along the Post Road and at the Goodwives and Noroton Heights Shopping Centers.  Many bargains, with discounts of up to 70 percent, are expected to be offered. 

Thursday, July 14^th: Shoppers can stop by the Chamber Tent to get there special insert with a guide to the events over the three days. There will be a special guessing contest for children and adults to win a prize. A fun Bouncy house can be found next to William Pitt Sotheby’s for children to have some fun.

Friday, July 15th:  Face Painter –Ela at the Darien Toy Box (11-1) and Face Painters from the DEPOT at First County Bank (10am-2pm). Also on Tokeneke Road-- free delicious ice coffee from Deadly Grounds Coffee at The Dock Shop, Mr. Bungles with his balloon creations 10-2 and cookie decorating at SoNo Baking (check www.darienctchamber.com for exact times). Plus, The Sound Tigers Mascot-Storm and an Inflatable Bouncy House will be in the Downtown Area. Other attractions include Amazing Andy on stilts with his juggling, and a band will be playing at lunch time at Gofer Park!

Saturday, July 16th:  Pedal Car Race Track behind First County Bank 10-3. Day Street will be closed to vehicular traffic to allow for a special car show for this spot for enthusiasts of cars of all kinds! Free Face Painter by DEPOT teens at First County Bank,  free ice coffee with Deadly Grounds Coffee at The Dock Shop, cookie decorating event at SoNo Baking Company, Face Painter by the DEPOT and more balloon creations by Amazing Andy. The favorite Face Painter -Ela inside of  the Darien Toy Box from 11am -2pm. And…  Darien Fire House will have a Fire Truck and a Darien Police Officer will be there with his special Harley Davidson Motorcycle. There will also be live music at Grove Street Plaza Saturday afternoon.
