Local artist, Terry Flaherty will be displaying her artwork throughout the month of October at Darien Rowayton Bank located at 1001 Post Road, Darien.
Flaherty studied at Silvermine Guild of Arts with Miriam Broudy and Elaine Haskell. She paints with acrylics because she prefers the spontaneity and freshness that she achieves. Acrylics allow her to create rich impasto effects and can also be thinned to produce water color results. The impressionists have influenced her style of painting which is primarily representational.
Flaherty splits her time between Darien and Vermont, painting landscapes, florals and still life.
